What is Cruise Duck hiding?
Cruise Duck hiding is where travelers buy little rubber ducks in various styles to hide on the ships. They range in all styles, from yellow to colorful or small to large. Also, some travelers put a tag on them to show who hid the duck with information like family, cruise, or social media page. Then, the person who found the duck can post a picture of the find on the social media page for them to see.
Dirty Duck Rules!
Dirty Duck Exchange:
The Duck Host will bring a wrapped Dirty Duck(s). These are the ducks the host will have. One duck will be decorated (blinged out), and one duck will be a normal “zonk” duck. No one will know till the end, and all ducks have been exchanged. That is part of it. All other ducks will not be wrapped. You may want to bring some extra ducks if people come by to see what is going on and if you want to give anything to them or their children. Even if you do not wish to participate in the Duck at Sea/Dirty Duck, you can still come by to see everyone and cheer everyone on. You never know; you may leave with a duck. If you have ever watched the show, the price is right. You may end up with a “zonk” or something fabulous. That is part of the fun.
1) Bring your best duck to the event—not a normal plain duck but something a little “extra.” Or you can bring a fun Duck Accessory. It doesn’t have to be expensive—a $5 big duck or a duck with accessories, but not a normal, plain duck.
2) When you put your duck on the “Duck Table,” you will be given a ticket; the other ticket goes in a Duck Bag.
3) When the game begins, your Duck Host will pull out a ticket and call that number. The matching Ducker with that number will pick a duck of their choice from the Duck Table and take it back to their Duck Station (seat).
4) The next ticket is drawn, and the person with the matching number can choose a duck from the Duck Table or steal someone’s duck. If your duck is stolen, you will go to the duck table and pick another duck or steal another Ducker’s Duck. You cannot steal your duck back at that time. After a duck is stolen two times, it becomes a “Dead Duck.” That duck will belong to the person who steals it the second time (the “Dead Duck” is now dead and can no longer be stolen).
There will be two wrapped ducks called the “Dirty Ducks.” They will not be opened until the game ends. The Dirty Ducks are the only ones that can be stolen unlimited times. The last player can steal a Dirty Duck or take the last duck on the table. If they steal a Dirty Duck, then that person must take a duck from the table, and the game ends. Your Duck Host will keep up with the steals and let the player know what they can steal or if they must pick a duck from the Duck Table.

Do I have to hide only ducks?
While the original game was designed to hide ducks, many people hide other items. Some hide dogs, cats, and flamingos, among many other things. If you enjoy it and the item brings happiness to others, go for it.
Do I have to have a tag?
The tag is not required, but it does make it fun for the duck finder. Letting them know who you are or where you’re from is fun. Also, sometimes, they post a picture for you on social media, which makes it fun.
How do I find or print tags?
There are many ways to get tags for your ducks or friends of ducks. Our site has tags for sale and tags that you can download to print yourself. It all depends on what you want to do for them. Some people are more creative and enjoy using sites like Canva to create their own. Whatever you choose, there is no wrong answer.
What size duck is the best?
This sometimes comes down to preference and what you want to do with them. If you’re looking for easier transport, a 1.75-to-2.00-inch duck is the best. But the micro ducks are also fun; add some accessories to help them stand out. Some people like buying the bigger 5- and 6-inch ducks, though. Whatever you feel is best for you is the right answer.
What cruise lines hide ducks?
At this time, all cruise lines have been known for hiding ducks. Carnival is probably the most popular of them and really supports the participation of guests.
How do I carry the ducks?
You can use your suitcase or backpack to transport them to the ship. Security will not care that they are in your suitcase. We also offer a great beach bag option that can be used for transport and then off the ship on port days.
What glue is best for gluing on the accessories?
The best glue to hold the accessories for your duck is B6000 or B7000. Getting the B7000 mini is a good option, and it has a fine tip that can make use easier.
